A Useful Parody

Martin Robbins (of The Lay Scientist) has produced a beautiful guide to the standard newspaper (or website) interpretation of scientific research, published on the Guardian website.  Not only is this funny, but it seems so true. I plan to use this in lessons at the first available opportunity.

For more discussions of the intersection between science and journalism I strongly recommend this piece by Ed Yong on his Not Exactly Rocket Science blog (which everyone shoudl read anyway.
